We have established that Shea butter is an excellent
emollient. The butter spreads easily and has a wonderful lubrication
power. The softening properties of its oils are appreciated
in Africa as well as in Europe. However its incorporation in
emulsion renders its usage more convenient at any ambient temperature.
That is why we at Chic Afrique herbals have formulated temperature
resistant creams and lotions. These wonderful formulations,
unlike the butters, will not melt when used on a hot day in
Arizona or harden on a cold day in Alaska. Our creams and lotions
are resistant to a wide range of temperatures. They are wonderfully
creamy and hydrating, containing skin revitalizing and moisturizing
herbal extracts that easily penetrate the skin to give it its
revitalized and youthful glow. Please note that
all our creams and lotions are minimally preserved using grapefruit
seed extract and very little of the parabems (they are naturally
preserved); we advise you to use all of our products within
18 months of opening them, because repeated opening and closing
of the jars introduces bacteria that would degrade their usefullness
like that of any all natural product.
